The Rotary Chapter Oberpullendorf and the Austrian Scale Team Series joined forces to organize a charity event for the SOS Children's Village Pinkafeld.
Rotarians and the Scale Radio Control community showed the spectators how exciting this hobby can be. The event was held on April 21, it took place at the Lockenhaus Castle that was originally built around 1200AD.
The proceeds of the event have been dedicated to building a new playground at the local SOS Children Village.
89 drivers from 4 countries showed up to master the challenging courses in the medieval gardens around the castle. The special Austrian Scale Team Series “Kindergarten” Class saw 8 kids navigating courses with their vehicles.
In total the event raised almost $4,000 USD for the new playground! Awesome to see how everybody was motivated for the good cause.
From an RC4WD perspective, it was fantastic to see many of the podium drivers using our products.
In the prestigious Extreme Class, the Top 4 drivers relied on our Mickey Thompson Narrow 2.2" Baja Mtz ScaleTire (Z-T0085):
- Lukas Klapfer
- Richard Aigner
- Patrik Solerti
- Daniel Siegl
