Decal Sheet Care Instructions
Tips for Removing the Small Decals

At RC4WD, we take pride in the small details that make your builds stand out. From realistic finishes to precision-engineered components, every part plays a role in creating that true-to-life look. Our decals are no exception — they’re designed to add that final touch of realism. Because these decals are multi-layered and extremely thin, they require a bit of care when removing them from the sheet. Here are a few simple tips to help you get the best results.

Take Your Time

When peeling a decal from the sheet, go slowly and make sure you’re lifting the entire decal — not just one layer. Since these are thin and layered for realism, moving too fast can cause separation or tearing.

Peel Slow at an Angle

A helpful technique is to peel at a low angle, rather than straight up. This allows the decal to release smoothly from the backing sheet, reducing the risk of damage.

If It Gets Stuck, Stop

If you feel the decal catching or see it starting to stretch — stop right away.
Try starting from the opposite end and work back toward the stuck area.
For stubborn spots, gently use a razor-style blade or hobby knife to lift the edge and release it cleanly.

Use Tweezers for Tiny Details

When working with very small or intricate decals, a good pair of fine-tip tweezers can make a big difference. They give you more control and help prevent the decal from folding or sticking to your fingers.
